The dates are set. After initially planning on moving sometime in mid-July (this later became an unavailable time frame with the current tenant), I went ahead and decided to schedule the move (and the moving truck!) for August 1.
But, you see, it's a sticky situation. Because I have to be out of my current home by the last day in July and into my new home by August 1. That's alot of moving to do in two days.
I will pick up the truck the morning of July 31, quickly (I say quickly, I probably mean at a leisurly pace...) pack it up with all my things in the house and leave that night for the drive north. I will unload it August 1 and return the truck to Asheville on August 2. Then my dad will drive me back down to Columbia where I will probably stay a few more days with Terence and Osi.
I'm so nervous about driving this huge moving truck up through the mountains! But I am ready to be surrounded by the tranquility of my new home. At least for the next two and a half years. Here are a few pictures I dreamily gaze upon now and then...
