finding a place to call home. part 2.

I have spent countless hours going back and forth trying to figure out what the right thing to do is. I could potentially live anywhere along and hour stretch of highway while in Graduate School. But my first semester, I have classes everyday and also a research Graduate Assistantship. Realistically, I know it would be easier and less stressful for me to live in Cullowhee, where Western Carolina sits in the mountains of NC. I mean, I do have a dog to take care of here people! I couldn't imagine leaving her inside a whole two extra hours just so I could commute.

Nonetheless, I started calling around to any apartment or properties I could find within the vicinity. The woman at one place told me they didn't allow pets, but was very helpful in passing along the information of a smaller private property management team that did. So I looked it up, and it was beautiful. And in my price range! Tomorrow, Terence and I will be taking a day trip to go have a look at things and I will potentially put down my deposit.

Here's a picture of part of the property...

Then on the drive back, I may get to stop outside of Asheville to see my long time friend, Erin. I haven't seen her in probably over 4 years. Talk about great timing!

Until next time,
Lauren
